USSS - design-build project

As the primary contractor for this design-build project for the United States secret services (USSS), PEM was given the task of reconfiguring the buildings to better support the growth in staffing and training requirements of the Judgment and Tactics Branch. Project objectives included providing safe space for the staff, correcting life safety and facility deficiencies, expanding restroom facilities.

The completed tasks included constructing simulator rooms, including black walls, carpet, and ceiling tile. A new bathroom layout utilized the existing floor plan more efficiently to increase the number of fixtures. The layout also created a more formal lobby. A brand-new mechanical system was provided to increase fresh air intake. In addition, all new electrical and fire alarm distribution was installed. This project involved architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, civil and structural elements.
